BioI'm 38 this year, have no kids - and I like it that way, but I do love other people's kids!! -
I am one of 4 directors of Vulvar Vestibulitis Support Network (VVSN, formerly NVVO), a nonprofit group in Oregon looking to spread the word and promote learning and awareness about VVS and other chronic vulvovaginal pain conditions. We currently have a local support group here in Oregon. We have a Yahoo support group and a Wordpress blog. We attend local conferences and workshops to "spread" the word about vulvas! It's great! We hope other women will do the same in their areas. We are working toward bringing vaginas to the forefront, dammit! We need to be heard! :-)
I have a great job, and have a few close friends, and a nice apartment. I suffer from chronic depression (under control with meds and therapy; was diagnosed at age 17!!!)and suffer from VVS (but thank GOD it is under control, and my loving boyfriend since 1/2009 is 110% supportive and loving!!!). I'm trying to be as healthy as possible with what I consume and use in/on my body and mind.
I love music and dancing and watching DVDs and spending time with my 12 & 1/2 yr old nephew and 4 year old niece. I can be very lazy and lounge around my apartment....but that feels so nice after working Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm! :-)
